교과목개요
Engineering mathematics is an advanced mathematics course offered to sophomore level students majoring in materials and metallurgical engineering. Calculus learned at freshmen level is prerequisite to this course.
Emphasis will be given on the area of solving first order differential equation as well as second order diffierential equation. Formulation of mathematical models will also be treated.

1. Abiltiy to solve first order differential equation.
2. Ability to solve second order differential equation.
3. Ability to do mathematical modelling
주요 학습내용 및 수업진행방법
The contents will be divided into five chapters. Basic concepts on how to set up and solve ordinary differential equations will be introduced. Lectures on partial differential equations will be given. Laplace transformations, matrices and vactors will be also treated
학습 성과 평가방법
Grading will be based on test scores. Tests will be given twice.
